just wondering where you fellas get your stuff from. i was buying from sussex outfitters, but since they closed i've gone to better buy sports in saint john. and with the service i get there, today will be the last time i purchase anything from them. honestly, i don't know how they stay in business. i should also add i'm in the saint john area if you know of some place handy. but i would rather drive to moncton or fredericton than support better buy sports again.
thanks folks

The new store in Sussex, Woody"s, will be stocking a full supply and willing to order what you what, according to my conversation with him before Christmas.
he said he will be getting stock starting sometime in January.
the little bit of stuff I've needed for a friend to do up some loads for me, I ordered from Moffett's Hardware in Sussex.
I don't retail firearms equipment, but I do retail computers, and dealers don't bring it in because if its sitting on the shelf, it's costing them money. If there is enough demand for an item, it will be on their shelf. They have net-30 to pay for it, that means they have to have their investment covered within 30 days, or its not worth stocking.
Edit to add:
Also if they bring in 500 widgets @ $20 and a month later it drops to $15 they lose money there too since in our online world we shop around for the very best deals. Small shops can't compete with over the border shopping.
After the clerk realized I wasn't buying anything( because they didn't have anything)I was a waste of his time at the gun dealers. CT employee was a very nice change and actually talked to me not at me . I'll gladly drive there if they want to stock what I need. Fredericton isn't that far away
I sort of see your point....but bullets n brass won't ever depreciate or get out dated in a month like a computer.
If these guys always have empty shelves....it would suggest to me the demand is greater than the stock they carry?
Higginson's Powders is a very good place for supplies. They offer free shipping for orders of more than 21lbs of powder. Sounds like a lot, but if you get a few friends into it, it's not so bad.
Do yourself a huge favor and purchase a US Post Office Box if you're near a boarder and order from Midway or Cabelas.com. I've claimed primers, powder, projectiles, brass and optics at the Canadian boarder - No problems at all. It's not the Canadian boarder that's stopping us from importing powder, or optics. So long as its not an action part, trigger or barrell, you'll be fine .
Since a lot of the stuff falls under the US laws .
I'm curious what would happen if you were stopped in the US?
Time in a US jail would really suck .. LOL
