this summer with the camp looking shabby with fading stain, mildewed shingles and peeling paint on the eaves, it was time to give the camp a bit of a facelift.

just high pressure water and a special nozzle that blasts the water out.

takes a fine layer of wood off that when it drys is dust with tiny dots of stain/paint.

nothing on the shingles afterwards, just let the sun and weather turn them silver/grey.

cut quite a few trees around the camp last year, hopfully that will let the wind flow better and keep the mold

coming back.

painted the eaves and trim around windows with a really good outdoor white latex paint to protect the trim

No, southeast of Elgin.

only a couple KMs from Fundy Park

went in the other night and had to have snowshoes, 3+ feet of snow and ice.

good thing I remembered to leave the shovel outside the door!

Out the other day and mowed the lawn and driveway

have to do it 2-3 times/year

Damn it was hot hot hot

gave the sides of driveway a good going over with the mower and crowded the bushes back

had not done that in a while because I was chopping off fir trees 1-1.5 ft tall

caught a few rocks of course....need to resharpen the blade now

pruned branches back, sure made the drive up to camp a little bit not so close to the truck mirrors

its been a few years since I last cleaned it out so well

Painted the eaves again

Planted oaks in a few open spaces

we will see how they do

If you are not working to protect hunting, then you are working to destroy it.

don't recall that

I did swap out the wood stove years ago but don't remember what I did with the one little one I didn't want....

My camp is just past the Schoolhouse Road if that helps
