any big bear killed

Wondering if any big bears killed yet this year, my bud killed a small one, but brown in color....very rare in this province..

Question from a non bear hunter...when you say a bear is a 6 ft or 7ft bear what are you measuring exactly? Is it nose to tail?

Usually.Some guys will give a squared measurement.

So when you say "squared" what exactly are you measuring? If somebody says a bear Squared 6 ft does that mean its 6 x 6 ?

I measure nose to tail.

I've seen guys measure nose to tail, then front paw tip, to the opposite paw tip, add the two, then divide by two.I also go nose to tail.
