So this year my dad shot a buck early in the season. We have the hide all dried out and cut into pieces. We want to bleach the hide, so we can dye it for tying salmon flies. I have read that 20% peroxide and ammonia (non sudsy) will do the trick. Got the peroxide and have looked all over for ammonia but cant find any that isn't sudsy and lemon flavoured. Anyone know of any store in Saint John area that would have it? Also has anyone done this with any success?
