I'm looking for comments (good and/or Bad) on the new Browning BLR takedown model guns. Would you get the takedown or regular version and what scope would you mount on it?

Thanks
Regular!

Scope would depend on what cartridge the rifle is chambered in. Assuming a deer cailber, I would look for a fixed 4 power. Nikon, Burris or Leupold

I guess it depends if you travel alot to hunt.
easier to travel with a takedown but if your staying around here why bother?

i did read a article by a writer/hunter who took a Browning takedown to Africa in a big cal. 450?
can't remember what cal. exactly

He liked it and had no problems on his hunt and taking several animals.
I have a BLR in 308 and I like it, shoots well and cleans easily.
I've always liked a lever action not just because I shoot left.
