OK here goes. I have to admit I was extremely late this year in refreshing my mineral licks for moose. Moosebuck found a new location that looked really promissing so we set up a cam there on June 22nd.

I haven't come around to refresh 3 other sites that I maintain every year yet. Hopefully some more pics to come during the following months. I'm on vaca right now so should find a bit of time to go setup cameras and refresh the other sites next week.

Next post will show some of last week's photogenic moose that are hanging around this new site. Moosebuck has some great pics from another mineral lick, but I'll leave it up to him to post'em on here....I'm afraid of copyright and legal actions lol!

Here's a night set showing 2 bulls, the one on the left is noticeably bigger on the hind quarters, but I did not get a head shot of him, maybe next time !

Sorry for the poor pic quality, I have moved my cam closer and at a better angle, hopefully next series of pics will be better quality, and antlers will be bigger lol!

Went out for a drive last nite with my wife to swipe SD Cards. She had berkenstoks so she said "I'll stay in the truck"...walking in to the stand site, I came face to face with this "new kid in town"...

Needless to say we are pumped for this fall.

He was with this guy:

Here are a couple more interesting pics:

I wish you would stop moving the shed around! I can't keep up?lol... Well boys, things are lookin' good for this up coming season. Don't let MOOSEBUCK talk you into passing on one of those 2 monsters for a cow... Can't wait to see what they have for paddles next week!
Don't worry, my dad or my brother won't have any problem choosing LOL!

Moose antlers, supposively the fastest growing living organism in the world according to a friend of mine, heard that somewhere, any truth to that statement?

Anyway, at an avg of 2 inches of growth per day, these big bulls can still double their paddle size before the velvet peal, mid September for Moose. I wonder when antler growth stops however?
