An investigation by conservation officers with the Department of Natural Resources, coined Operation WAK, has resulted in the seizure of 700 kilograms (1,540 pounds) of moose meat, moose parts, cash and various butcher shop equipment.

It has been posted already. I don't mind reading it again though. I'm looking out the window as we get hit with another storm. I'm thinking about the tough winter our deer herd must be having, and its nice to see DNR bust someone. The last thing our deer herd and our moose population needs is a ring of poachers. The rest of us complain about not getting our tag and the reason we aren't getting it is because of dropping moose numbers!! I just hope they get the right punishment, and one that acts as a deterrent to other poachers.
