if you do your research
you will see alot of the police are against this gun registry for many reasons but alot have refused to state their opinions for the reason they cant!
we have freedom of speech but our own police force have a chosen few that speak for them, whether or not it is how they really feel!
I dont know if many seen the previous posting about the gun registry or not, but it is worth watching!
the thing is, billions of our tax paying money is being wasted on the gun registry for what?
a criminal isnt gonna use his own gun that he registered to kill with

but, if it saved one life...i guess it is all worth it!
but has it????

i am a gun owner, i have a few.
but i dont use them to do anything illegal....but if the police came to my house for some reason, does it warrant them to come in kick the door down and guns drawn...HELL NO!

I mean, i feel for the police when it comes to protecting themselves against violence with guns, but just because i have them registered doesnt mean they cant be used!!!

whether a gun is registered or not....someone who is gonna use it for illegal activity has already committed a crime. I say this because it is a good chance that the gun they have in there hands is a stolen one, which probably has already been reported to the police. ok, after saying that...do they know where that gun is after it has been stolen? HELL NO!

i think the billions of dollars that has been spent on it could be better spent elsewhere, and for the bleeding heart liberals that are for gun registry, take a hard look around you and tell me that the money couldnt be spent elsewhere! Look at our health care? i mean try finding a family doctor?? just one example...

lets be rational here....how much more money is gonna be spent on it before they finally give up?
look at the other countries that have tried it!
australia being one!

just my 2 cents worth!

From the comments section below the article, this is too good not to post:

I was reading someone's argument about gun control the other day, and they had funny, yet stunningly good points. Here are a few reasons why guns should be "banned":

1. Guns are unnecessary. In 98% of civilian gun defenses, no shot is fired. If you are not going to fire a shot, you clearly don't need a gun. This proves that the guns are unnecessary. Banning guns will prevent these unnecessary defenses.

2. Most gun crimes are committed by inner city gangs and drug dealers. These relatively small and geographically restricted groups consistently commit the majority of gun crimes, which usually peak as turf wars erupt over Drug War changes. The best way to prevent this is by denying guns to all law abiding people everywhere.

3. No woman needs to protect herself from rape, assault or murder. The Police will protect women by investigating the crime after the fact. Remember, Police paperwork is all the protection anyone really needs.

4.Guns owners are disrespectful of authority. Good citizens should completely rely on the authorities. A failure to do so is an invariable sign of improper and overly independent attitudes. Failure to completely and absolutely trust and depend on the authorities is excessive democracy and sends a bad message to children.

5.Guns owners engaging in self-defense are taking the law into their own hands. This is wrong. Only the Police and Criminals have the right to take the law into their own hands. Guns should be kept out of the hands of law abiding citizens.

I know it is hard to believe to all you anti-gun advocates but not everyone who owns a gun is a criminal. And as I was taught by my CFSC instructor, "A gun society is a polite society"

That article was written by an uneducated uninformed person who just wanted to have something to say. Education of the uninformed and uneducated is the solution.
