I have been thinking about switching to steel shot use only for shotgun hunting. Both for environmental reasons and for the odd chance I see ducks in my usual hunting spots. Does anyone have experience using steel shot on grouse and if so what size do you regularly use?

I hunt with a 12 gauge pump shotgun for upland birds n rabbits, I use steel shot in all of hunting, for birds n rabbits I use a # 6 high brass shell manufactured by Browning, steel shot is heavier than lead so you best take perfect aim on birds for a head shot otherwise you could destroy alot of the desired meat on the bird
