My Dad got drawn for a moose tag in Maine. Bull only tag for the October hunt in zone 19. I'll be heading over to my old stompin grounds to give him a hand killin one. His 2nd tag in 28 years applying. I've never been drawn in Maine or NB. Good part about the Maine hunt is that its 6 days and not 3.

"Congrats" to your dad! I was thinking last year about putting my name in the Maine draw. Had an outfitter all picked out and everything. But ended up spending the money on a new truck instead. With the draw fee,(I was planning on buying 50 chances) Liscence fee, and Guide fee. It was going to cost me about over $5000 if I remember right. For a week bowhunt, and the chance of a really nice Bull (they take some real whoppers every fall) It wasn't a bad deal...if a person has the money to spend that is. But then again, no guarentees of being drawn. And I think 50 chances cost about $250 U.S. Unless of course you pay around $11,000 for a pre-draw aution tag!
