Not sure but the friggin hurricanes are creeping up the Atlantic. This crap might really affect us. Hopefully not like 1999. The weather long range has changed so much the last few days making impossible to look forward to anything. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I always break down a moose season in 6 golden opportunities to harvest a moose, that is:

3 cool and crisp mornings, with 3 deadcalm evenings for the last 2hrs of daylight. Of course this only happens on rare occasions, so when wheather mixes things up, the only, or very few calm and quiet you'll get could be the bonanza for calling in your moose.

Then again, I'll say it again, I'll take a foul grizzly day over a blue bird day for hunting any day, game is just more ....well....game!

Just got back from an evening's scouting with my wife, apart from a couple of young bulls cutting our tracks after we had gone into a clearcut, not much to show for.

I don't like category 4 winds for hunting, let's try and keep it on the down lo!
