Does anyone know if QDMA has a field day or any events planed for this year in the south of the
province.

The field day and AGM is supposed to be in August at Sean Moffett's in the Sussex area. When I get a bit more information, I'll send it along.

Will Be August 28th at Sean Moffetts. We are meeting this week to hammer out the finer details and will post things after that.

On August 28th, 2010 the Quality Deer Management Association of New Brunswick is holding its 3rd annual AGM and Field Day. Mark your calendars now and prepare to attend. Attendees will learn about habitat management, including food plots and forest management, deer population monitoring and deer behaviour among other wildlife topics.

Date: Saturday August 28th, 2010
Location: 119 Lester Road, Searsville, NB
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. (lunch will be provided)

Key Agenda Items:

10 a.m. to noon AGM (Agenda will be distributed at the meeting)

Noon to 1 p.m. Lunch and selection of 12 best deer photos of the year

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Visit of Moffet's family woodlot and discussions on forest management, food plot management, deer monitoring and deer behaviour. Expert speakers will be present to share their knowledge on creating and managing healthy and sustainable deer habitat.

Directions to Moffet's Family Woodlot

From Berwick Hwy 10 turn left on Rte 880 after going through one lane green bridge, swing right onto rte 875 keep going straight onto Manitoba Road for about 4 km or so, then turn left onto Lester Road at the sharp turn - it is a dirt road

From Sussex, go to Apohaqui, get onto Rte 880 and swing left at fork in the road (the one lane green bridge would be to your right) and follow above directions

We will have a free BBQ for lunch sponsored by QDMANB for those attending and we will have a number of door prizes including 4 Foiles duck calls sent in by DU. There is usually a some hats and few bags of seed and oak seedlings as well.

How was the field day? Would of loved to have been there, but duty calls.
