I agree with nbguide.
We as hunters and sportsmen should be standing together to support all ways of hunting that are legal, ethical and fair chase.
And should be the first at government's door to stop ways that don't meet these standards.
The way the anti's win is to divide the ranks of hunters.
I'm thinking of the cancelled Ontario spring bear hunt several years ago.
If every hunter/sportsman of waterfowl, upland birds, rabbits, deer, moose and fishing would have stood up with the bear hunters and outfitters,I believe things like this wouldn't happen.
I'm also thinking of that debate of Sunday hunting and the use of crossbows here in NB.
Anything that brings more people to this sport, extends seasons, lets us spend more time in the field is a good thing.
I'm sure there are bear hunters that hunt with a gun that think a bowhunter is crazy to be 20 yards from the bait.
There is deer hunting in the states were they legally use dogs to chase the deer to a line of shooters.
There are hunters that shoot cute rabbits and partridge that are not even a year old (babies).
There are hunters that use dogs to scare pen raised birds to fly and then shoot them (the bird).
Think about your hunting choices and how they can be viewed by an anti.
You will want support from you hunting and fishing brothers and sisters.
Join your local and provincial clubs!!
That being said that video is something else, I don't think it meets the ethical or humane standards we should have.
But if it is proven this method is humane and kills quickly, I can be convinced to change my mind.
WOW, quite a rant for a Sunday morning, lets see what I've stirred up.
I'm going to the camp!
